Proof of English language skills must be submitted before the application deadline and the test result must not be older than two years. English language proficiency can also be proven with a German university entrance qualification (HZB; in the higher level [Oberstufe] at least four semesters of English were taken; and an average grade [excluding a separate Abitur examination] at least 8 points), with the completion of an English-language bachelor's degree program (proof of degree certificate or transcript of records), or with English as a native language (with a declaration by the applicant that English is their native language AND another document from an English-language qualification, e.g., A-level, OR a document such as a school transcript that shows English as a native language). The admissions committee may decide on language tests other than those listed. You do not need any German language skills, however, a B1 level is highly recommended to master your stay at the university.
