Option to access a program scholarship

Course Description

Do you have a bachelor's degree and at least one year of practical experience in the media field after obtaining your degree, and are highly motivated to gain research and practical experience? Then this is a unique opportunity for you! The M.A. in International Media Studies is a program developed from a cooperation between DW Akademie, Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg, and the University of Bonn. It is a well accredited academic program with an excellent, strongly research-oriented curriculum which at the same time features a focus on practical experience. Moreover, selected students from developing and emerging countries can access a full scholarship to cover all their program expenses (tuition, living costs, accommodation, etc.).

The M.A. in International Media Studies is intended for holders of at least a bachelor’s degree and one year of work experience in the media field, interested in advancing their qualifications and career opportunities in the field of international media studies.

Learn about current media industry problems

Due to the practical focus of this program, students deal with relevant issues in the media industry during practical modules and research projects and learn how to handle them in real life.

Take part in interesting modules

Students complete a variety of modules with relevant topics such as media & development, media economics, politics & society, communication sciences, and media management, among others.
