About the University

The University of Tübingen, officially known as the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, is a renowned public research university. Founded in 1477, it is one of the oldest universities in Germany, and today hosts around 30,000 students. It is located in the city of Tübingen in the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg. The university campus is integrated into the picturesque historic city center which is famous for both its medieval and modern architecture.
