Testimonials
The practically oriented International Business program at the University of Applied Sciences in Pforzheim enabled me to acquire a broad foundation of knowledge. Especially the close relation to the professors allows the insight into new topics. That's how I came to write my thesis in the field of Artificial Intelligence. With their expertise, inspiration and practical experience, the professors at Pforzheim tremendously support their students.
After two semesters abroad in Hong Kong and Paris and an internship in Frankfurt and New York City, I worked as a financial analyst for a multinational company in Paris for a year after my graduation. Thanks to my studies in International Business at Pforzheim University, I will now start a Master's in International Economic Policy in Paris in September at one of the most renowned universities in Europe, Sciences Po (Paris School of International Affairs).
Like many International Business students, I chose this field to combine my love for languages with business and economics. Pforzheim offered the best combination of a strong basis in business administration and a specialization in English and Spanish. What I didn’t expect was that Pforzheim would open me doors I never even considered possible, from projects with companies like TeamViewer and Spanish market entry strategies, to internships at Daimler and Bosch. The program's blend of theory and practice helped me discover my passion for intercultural and international communication, which led me to pursue a Master's degree and a career as a Marketing Coordinator in Amsterdam. Looking back, Pforzheim was the the key to start with all the skills I needed to be successful in a working environment. What I saw as just a study program back in 2015, ended up being one of the greatest journeys so far. And for that, I can only say: thank you, Pforzelona!
I decided to study International Business at Pforzheim University to combine my fascination with other cultures, enthusiasm for languages, and interest in business economics. A key experience came during the “Regional Studies” course, where I learned how cultural conditions shape business practices, intensifiying my interest in different cultures. Through the combination of foreign languages and business, I was able to achieve personal success in Sales & Market Management at Daimler AG and a multinational German company. My semester abroad at UIBE in Beijing tested my interpersonal and intercultural skills, and solidified my desire to focus on Asia's incredible growth potential in my future career.
