Course Description
Due to the megatrend of digitalization, large areas of the economy and society are being opened up employing IT and interconnected in ever-larger networks. However, the higher the degree of networking, the greater the vulnerability to attacks by hackers. Large-scale attacks can cause immense economic damage, paralyze important services, and stand in the way of a society's digital sovereignty.
Cybersecurity deals with all aspects of information and communication technology security and thus serves to protect against attacks. In doing so, it expands classical IT security by including the entire emerging cyberspace.
*Please note: This program is taught mostly in German. To do justice to the international character of the subject area of cyber security, it is planned to offer at least one module per semester in English from the second semester onwards. The main teaching language is German though.
