Five Reasons to choose this Bachelor's Program

Course Description
Build the bridge between technology and business—and learn to lead where markets meet engineering. In TH Mannheim’s B.Sc. Engineering and Management (EMB), you build foundations in mechanics, programming, physics, and business/economics, then expand into ERP systems, logistics, robotics, and machine learning. Challenge-driven projects and a full-time practical semester let you test ideas in real organizations. You’ll practice communicating across technical and non-technical teams and grow an entrepreneurial mindset. Your bachelor thesis project can take place in a company, at the university, or in a research institution; an optional double degree adds global perspective.

EMB is for you if you want more than “just” engineering or “just” business. You’re curious about how markets, customers, and technologies shape each other, and you enjoy solving open-ended problems in diverse teams. If you like math and tech fundamentals, can communicate clearly, and want roles that connect product, operations, and strategy—or even a start-up path—this degree fits.
Special Program Features
Optional International Double Degree
After completing your first-year foundations, you can extend your studies by one semester and earn a second B.Sc. abroad with Tongji University, Tec de Monterrey, or UMPSA.
English-Taught Study Experience
All courses—lectures, seminars, and projects—are delivered in English, and core exams are offered in English too, so you can focus on content in an international classroom.
German for Your Next Step
Alongside the English curriculum, you’re supported in building practical German skills to prepare for internships, jobs in German-speaking teams, or a German-taught master’s.

Testimonials
I was positively challenged — your team decides together what to do best, and you’re part of it. You can’t expect someone to tell you what to do. That’s what this course gave me.
Throughout the course, I learned how to work in a team and find solutions to the problems we encountered — it was a really valuable experience for me.
