English language proficiency can also be proven with a final certificate from a public or state-recognized German gymnasium with at least the grade "sufficient", or more than 5 points in the “gymnasiale Oberstufe” in the subject English based on the proficiency level at the end of grade 11 in the basic course (in G8: proficiency level at the end of grade 10), or a certificate of completion from a public or state-recognized technical college or vocational college with a grade of at least "sufficient" in English Certificate from a public or state-recognized technical academy, (vocational) technical school or vocational college in which the CEFR level B1 (or better) for English is shown, or a successfully passed supplementary examination with at least the grade "sufficient" in English, the certificate of a public or state-recognized vocational school for foreign language professions with at least the grade "sufficient" in English as the first foreign language (main language), or with a statement that English is your native language.
