Applicants who hold a German university entrance qualification, have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, have earned a degree in English studies in Germany or abroad, possess an international university entrance qualification confirming English as the language of instruction, or have passed a Technical or Business English module (at least 4 ECTS) in a previous German-language degree are exempt from submitting additional proof of English language proficiency. Applicants with a German-language university entrance qualification, a completed German-taught Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, a university degree in German studies (in Germany or abroad), an international university entrance qualification plus at least two years at a German-speaking school (proven by two annual school reports), German at level A in the IB Diploma, the DTZ (German Test for Immigrants Level A2/B1), or German university courses worth at least 4 ECTS at A2 level or higher are exempt from providing additional proof of German language proficiency.
