- Proof of eligibility to study at a university in Germany.
- A subject-related higher education entrance qualification.
Depending on your chosen program, academic level, and background, you might need to also take one of the following to make sure you are ready to study the program:
- Bachelor Entrance Examination (included in Scholarship Program).
- Pathway Program (for on-campus studies).

English language proficiency can also be proven with the Cambridge certificate (min. B grade overall). If English is your native language or you graduated from an English-speaking school/university, you do not have to prove your English skills. The proof must be provided before the start of the study and must not be older than two years. Please note that the IU English course isn't accepted as a language certificate for on campus study programs.
