Turning Agricultural Research into Real Solutions
Study Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems
Five Reasons to choose this Bachelor's Program

Course Description
How do you feed 10 billion people by 2050 without exhausting the planet? The B.Sc. Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems at the University of Hohenheim prepares you to answer exactly that. This English-taught, research-oriented program combines agricultural and natural sciences with economics, technology, and social sciences, so you learn to analyze the entire value chain from field to fork. Sustainability is built into every module, while a practice semester, challenge-based projects with real partners, and Germany's largest university research area turn theory into action. With just 20 places per intake, you join a small, international cohort of future change-makers.

This program suits school leavers with a university entrance qualification (e.g., Abitur, IB, or A-Levels) and B2-level English who enjoy biology, chemistry, economics, and math. It's ideal if you've volunteered on sustainability or food projects or worked on a farm, though prior experience isn't required. You should be confident with numbers and data, enjoy intercultural teamwork, and want to drive real change in food systems.
Special Program Features
Sustainability in Every Single Module
