Five Reasons to choose this Bachelor's Program
Course Description

The B.Sc. in Sustainable Engineering of Products and Processes is mainly aimed at prospective international and German students who hold a university entrance qualification for German universities. Ideal for those wishing to gain critical knowledge about sustainable engineering of products and processes, this program prepares students for their later professional life in a globalized society.
In some cases, it may also be required that international students have studied at an accredited university in their home country or that they complete the Studienkolleg foundation course in Germany.
The aim of the program is to enable graduates to analyze subject-specific and interdisciplinary problems in German and English, to develop sustainable solutions, and to represent these convincingly in both subject-specific and interdisciplinary terms.
Special Program Features
Area of Specialization: Sustainable Energy & Process Engineering
In this area of specialization, students can choose from among courses such as sustainable processes, chemistry for process engineering, chemical process engineering, heat and mass transfer, bioreactors, and electrochemical energy engineering, among others.
Area of Specialization: Sustainable Production
In this area of specialization, students can choose from among courses such as plant engineering, meteorology, production technology, mechatronics, sustainable products development, or industrial quality management, among others.
Area of Specialization: Sustainable Mobility
In this area of specialization, students can choose from among courses such as aerodynamics, vehicle design, lightweight design, multimodal transport systems, air traffic simulation, or aeronautical engineering, among others.

Requirements
Qualification Requirements
The application requirements for the study program in “Sustainable Engineering” are:
To study at the bachelor‘s level in Germany, international students must have a qualification equivalent to a German university entrance certificate (Hochschulreife), allgemeine Hochschulreife (Abitur), or equivalent school leaving certificates.
In many cases, international applicants also take an assessment examination (Feststellungsprüfung) at a ‘Studienkolleg’ or provide proof of previous study periods in their home country before they are admitted to the degree program. Detailed information is available on the university’s page on the Evaluation of international qualifications and ‘Studienkolleg’.
A pre-study internship of 8 weeks is required. If you do not have the opportunity to complete a pre-internship, you can apply for a deferment of the internship and complete a suitable internship by the end of the fourth semester.

Testimonials
When I think about sustainable engineering, I basically think that every country, every company, every person will have to deal with sustainability in the next couple of years. We have to change the way we think about products and things to a long-term perspective. Therefore, sustainable engineers will be needed!
