The following application documents are also required:

1. CV (English/German).
2. Motivation letter max. 2 pages (English/German).
3. Certified certificate, possibly with translation into German or English (the translation does not have to be certified).
4. A certified transcript of records, possibly with translation into German or English (the translation does not have to be certified).
5. Certified language skills (see language requirements for the required proof).

Job references, letters of recommendation, certificates from summer schools, etc. are not required, but you can still enclose them.

Applications from China and Vietnam:

It is essential for Chinese (except Macao and Hong Kong) and Vietnamese applicants who completed their bachelor's degree in their home country to submit a scan of an original individual APS certificate with their application.

APS checks the applicant's qualification for admission to higher education and the academic credits of applicants wishing to study in Germany. A group APS will not be acceptеd.
