Qualification Requirements


Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering and/or IT (or related field).

Required ECTS credits: 210.

As far as applicants provide evidence of a university degree which is the basis for admission and for which less than 210 ECTS points, but at least 180 ECTS points have been awarded, a prerequisite for passing the Master's examination is proof of the missing ECTS points up to a total of 300 ECTS points. Missing ECTS points can be proven by additional relevant professional experience or modules of a basic university study upon application to the examination board. Proof of professional experience for missing ECTS points can only be provided if the proven competencies are equivalent to the requirements of a practical semester or practical module in an undergraduate degree program at the Deggendorf University of Technology.

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven by the CET (College English Test), the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), or the LanguageCert International ESOL Qualifications. You are exempted from providing an English language certificate test if you are a holder of a German university entrance qualification (Abitur, Fachhochschulreife, etc. obtained either in Germany or at a German school abroad) with English as a graduating subject, or if you have proof of completed degree program conducted in English, or if you have proof of at least one year of studies at a university in an English speaking country, or if you are a holder of a graduation certificate of a school in an English speaking country. According to the study regulations the German course B1/part 1 and 2 need to be successfully completed during the studies. The language certificate must be less than 2 years old.
