Additional information:
At the beginning of your studies, no knowledge of German is required. However, students who participate in an international master have to acquire a basic knowledge of the German language. They are obligated to attend the German courses at the University of Kaiserslautern and pass the A1-level exam at TU Kaiserslautern within the first year of their studies. International master students, who prove their knowledge in the German language with an A2- Goethe-Certificate from abroad, not older than one year, can be exempted from passing the A1-level exam at TU Kaiserslautern.

  1. A letter of motivation (letter of intent).
  2. Curriculum vitae.
  3. Bachelor/master's degree certificate (diploma) and transcripts of records.
  4. Degree certificate and transcript translations (German or English).
  5. Short description of the subjects covered during previous studies (for example a syllabus).
  6. Two recommendation letters from faculty staff or industry manager - can be sent also via e-mail (containing your application number).
  7. Proof of English language proficiency (see language requirements).
  8. APS (for applicants from the People’s Republic of China & Vietnam).
