Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry or similar, if a biochemical focus has been studied: biology, chemistry, biomedical programs, microbiology.
The following programs are not considered similar: pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacy, medical laboratory sciences, medicine, (industrial) biotechnology, chemical or biological engineering (unless additional qualification in biochemistry is provided).
Main emphasis of study: At least 36 of 180 ECTS have been achieved in basic or advanced biochemical courses, laboratory training or the bachelor thesis (critical: practical laboratory expertise).
If you have not yet completed your degree: You can apply if you have completed at least 80% of the credit points and can provide evidence of the specific credit points (see above). Please note: The last examination must be taken before the start of the first semester of the master's program, otherwise admission will bе withdrawn.
Language Requirements
The following certificates are recognized as proof of your language proficiency.
EnglishSpecification: At least 6.0 per skill.
Specification: At least B or 175 points.

Please upload the following documents in PDF format:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and Transcript of Records incl. overall grade and indication of the total credit points earned*.
- University entrance qualification*.
- In the case of a foreign bachelor's degree (or equivalent): VPD.
- Curriculum Vitae (incl. laboratory and English skills; in English).
- Proof of English language proficiency (see language requirements).
- Application form provided in KLIPS filled in (incl. training, laboratory skills, motivation).
*In case of a foreign degree: If the original documents were not issued in German or English, you must upload the documents in the original language and officially certified translations.
Applications with a degree not yet completed: You must submit a Transcript of Records showing the credit points required as well as the provisional overall grade, issued and certified by your Examination Officе.
