Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a profile in one of the following academic fields: agricultural sciences, natural sciences, or business and economics.
Degree programs in the area of Agricultural, Horticultural, or Forestry Sciences will be recognized, such as:
- Agricultural Biology,
- Agricultural Sciences,
- Agricultural Economics,
- Forestry Sciences,
- Horticulture,
- Land Use,
- Agriculture,
- Biobased Products and Bioenergy,
- Environmental Sciences,
- Wine Business Studies,
- another three-year bachelor's program in which the subject content was made up of agricultural sciences to at least 50%.
Degree programs in the areas of Natural Sciences and Engineering will be recognized, such as:
- Agricultural Biology,
- Biology,
- Biochemistry,
- Biotechnology,
- Bioengineering,
- Chemistry,
- Nutritional Science,
- Food Technologies,
- Food Chemistry,
- Process Engineering.
Degree programs in the area of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences will be recognized, such as:
- Business Administration,
- Economics,
- Business and Economic Sciences,
- another three-year bachelor's program in which the subject content was made up of economic sciences to at least 50%.
The admission committee may expand the lists of degree programs mentioned.
Minimum standard period of study: 3 year(s).
Required ECTS credits: 180.
Completed professional training or work experience in a job requiring professional training (no limitation to certain vocational fields).
It's not mandatory, but if your GPA is lower than 4.0, you won't get any points during the admission process.

Application Documents
Online Application. You don’t have to send any documents by post.
- Legally certified copy of your undergraduate degree certificate and the transcript of records, including the average grade, of your undergraduate degree. If the average grade is not included in your transcript of records, the Registrar’s Office calculates the arithmetic middle of all grades, which will serve as your average grade. If no certificate is available, please submit a transcript of records covering all your examination results to date, including all grades and the average grade. The final degree certificate must be submitted by December 15th at the latest for the winter semester for which admission has been granted.
- Proof of English language proficiency. There are two options to provide proof of sufficient English language skills:
- Final degree certificate from a bachelor’s or master’s program insofar as the program was carried out in the English language at a university within the EU, Switzerland, or one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Belize, or Guyana.
- Language certificate (see language requirements).
If available or applicable:
- Subject-specific academic achievements: Subject-specific academic achievements may improve your place on the ranking list and successfully completed examinations in a bachelor’s program. A total of three achievements can be recognized, but a maximum of two per subject area. Each of the activities listed must be at least 5 ECTS credits. If you have accomplished more than three suitable achievements, please choose three in total.
- Letter of motivation, written in English, which describes the most important reasons for choosing the study program (maximum of 2 pages and signed by the applicant).
- Proof of completed professional training.
- If you have already been registered in a master’s study program, provide proof that the right to take examinations in the study program for which admission is sought or a related study program still exists, and provide proof that you are not currently in an ongoing examination procedure.
