Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an English and/or American studies program or an equivalent degree with a major or minor subject that has a recognizable relation to the subject matter of English and/or American literature and culture (for foreign degrees comparability is checked). If you have not received your degree certificate yet, you can submit this by the end of the first semester of your master’s prοgram.

Additional information:
Formal proof of the English language is not required. For German language proficiency, if you completed your degree abroad but obtained your higher education entrance eligibility (e.g., Abitur) at a German-speaking institution, you can submit this as proof (e.g., Abitur certificate). Other German language proficiency tests are accepted as proof.

Application Deadlines
The application deadline for the M.A. British and American Cultures: Texts and Μеdia at Universität Hamburg depends on the country where you obtained your previous degree. For applicants with a degree from non-EU countries, the application deadline is 15 June for the winter semester. Applications are made: Directly at university.
