Qualification Requirements
The application requirements for the study program in "Chеmistrу" are:
Proof of competencies from modules worth at least 25 ECTS credits each in the three areas (i) inorganic chemistry, (ii) organic chemistry, and (iii) physical and theoretical chemistry, whereby at least 25 ECTS credits of the competencies from (i) – (iii) must come from laboratory practicals or – in the case of degree programs that are not modularized in accordance with ECTS – competencies of a corresponding scope.
In order to enable an uninterrupted transition from the bachelor's to the master's programme, an applicant who is unable to provide proof of the required degree at the time of application may be granted conditional admittance to the master's programme subject to the following conditions:
- Proof of at least 140 ECTS credits or, in the case of degree programs that are not modularized in accordance with ECTS, equivalent achievements at the time of application in the required first degree program,
- a preliminary grade point average of 3.0 or better, and
- proof of competencies from modules worth at least 25 ECTS credits each in the three areas (i) inorganic chemistry, (ii) organic chemistry, and (iii) physical and theoretical chemistry, whereby at least 25 ECTS credits of the competencies from (i) – (iii) must come from laboratory practicals or – in the case of degree programs that are not modularized in accordance with ECTS – competencies of the corresponding scope.
Proof of the completion of your bachelor's degree must be presented by the time of re-enrolment for the second semester of the master's program.&nbsр;
3.0 or better (according to the German grading systеm)
