Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or another discipline with at least 60 ECTS of a computer science-related topics (such as mathematics, programming, design, software architecture).

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven with the Duolingo test with a score of 110. Please note that most English proficiency tests are valid for only two years. Please ensure that the test has not yet expired. Native speakers and applicants who completed their undergraduate studies in English may be exempted from this requirement. A scanned copy or document showing that the B.Sc. degree was completed in English may be submitted as proof.

  1. Bachelor degree certificate:
    • If you have already graduated from university but have not yet received your Bachelor diploma, please submit your provisional certificate.
    • If you have not yet graduated, please submit your certificate of registration confirming the semester you are currently studying and, if possible, the potential date of graduation.
    • If your documents are not in English or German, you must provide a certified translated copy. Please note that the translation must be done by a certified translator. A translation done by you is not valid.
  2. Bachelor transcript:
    • If your transcript includes multiple pages, be sure to send your documents in order and include each semester.
    • If your transcript contains an explanation of the scoring system or GPA calculation rules, please include it.
    • If you have not received your final transcript, please submit your most up-to-date transcript that includes all semesters completed.
    • If your transcript is not written in English or German, be sure to submit the original document with its official translation. Please note that the translation must be done by a certified translator. A translation done by you is not valid.
  3. Motivational letter/personal statement:
    • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​When writing your letter of motivation, ask yourself the following questions:
      • Why did I choose SIT and JUB to continue my education?
      • Why should I be admitted to the master's program?
      • What qualities make me an exceptional candidate?
    • Please limit your letter of motivation to one page and follow the guidelines of a formal letter.
  4. Curriculum vitae (CV): Make sure your CV describes your academic and professional information, extracurricular and volunteer activities. If you do not have professional experience, you may describe academic projects that you have been involved in during your studies.
  5. English proficiency certificate: See language requirements.
  6. Recommendation letter - optional or upon request:
    • Letters of recommendation usually come from professors, lecturers, project supervisors or employers.
    • The Letter of Recommendation should outline your academic and/or professional competencies.
    • All letters must be signed and if possible sealed by the issuer.
    • The content of both letters cannot be identical.
    • Certifications of employment or studies are not valid.
    • Ensure that the letters explicitly state your name, the name of the issuer and their contact information.
  7. Passport: Please attach a photocopy of the front page of your passport (the one that has your photograph).
