Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in social science or humanities program with one of the two main focuses:

  • journalism, languages, communication, media,
  • economics, social sciences, or culture related studies.
GPA Comment

A very good undergraduate degree.

After your matriculation, the university offers you a refund of the uni-assist fee in the amount of 75,00 € if you submit the original receipt to HMKW.

Application Documents


Please use the online application form and attach the following documents as PDF:

  1. Letter of motivation.
  2. Curriculum vitae.
  3. Certified copy* of your Advanced Placement Exams certificate (A-levels, baccalaureate, Abitur, etc).
  4. Certified copy* of degree (diploma etc.) certificate from undergraduate studies.
  5. A complete transcript of your undergraduate studies: credit points earned, marks, course contents.
  6. If applicable, documents relating to other academic achievements, vocational training, relevant job experience, etc.
  7. An official certificate of equivalence for any documents/qualifications issued outside Germany to show that they are equivalent to German documents/qualifications**.
