Five Reasons to choose this Master's Program

Course Description
Platforms shape public debate, algorithms steer political processes, and AI is rewriting how we live and work. The Master of Digital Studies at European University Viadrina prepares you to critically analyze and actively shape these transformations. Taught entirely in English at the European New School of Digital Studies on the German-Polish border, the program weaves together Science and Technology Studies, Media and Communication Studies, Cultural Studies, Law, and Economics. You will work in small, dialogue-based seminars, master qualitative and quantitative research methods, and engage with case studies from Central and Eastern Europe and beyond.

This program suits graduates with a Bachelor's degree in social sciences, humanities, media or communication studies, or interdisciplinary digitalization research, with at least 60 ECTS in these fields including 10 ECTS in research methods. You should bring English skills at C1 level, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to research-driven engagement with digital transformation.
Special Program Features
Beyond a Single European Viewpoint
Engage with digital transformation through an active exchange between Central, Eastern, and Western European perspectives, working with case studies from across the continent.
Study right at Europe's living border
Frankfurt (Oder) and Słubice sit directly on the German-Polish border, where Europe's integration story unfolds around you each day and shapes the discussions inside the seminar room.
Practice or Language — Your Choice
