Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

Basic knowledge of research methods and statistics.

There are no mandatory bachelor's degrees. A degree in the fields of psychology, anthropology, educational sciences, and other related courses is recommendеd.

Application Documents


The selection of applicants for the master’s program in Early Childhood Research is based on the following necessary documents:

  1. Certificate of a first professional qualification in English or German (incl. Transcript of Records) (can be submitted by the start of the course).
  2. Proof of English language skills (see language requirements).
  3. Certificate of higher education entrance qualification (general higher education entrance qualification), a relevant subject-specific higher education entrance qualification, or a certificate regarded as equivalent by law, in English or German, each as a certified copy.
  4. Letter of motivation with a detailed justification for the choice of the master's program, including relevant previous knowledge of the English language.
  5. Proof of subject-specific knowledge of methods and statistics in German or English, e.g. through evidence of credit points or the writing of empirical (final) theses (please enclose).
  6. Tabular curriculum vitae in English.
  7. if applicable, evidence of course-related vocational training, voluntary internships, or similar activities related to the intended course of study in English or German.
