Qualification Requirements


Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in economics with an economics subject share of at least 50% or a degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, statistics, with a minor in economics from at least 35 ECTS points.

Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.

GPA Comment

Above-average degree. Qualified applicants who can prove that they belong to the top 10% of their final year are admitted regardless of the grade of their final academic examination.

English language proficiency can also be proven by a language certificate for English from the Central Language Laboratory of Heidelberg University with at least a good result. The evidence should not be older than four years. German language skills are not required. This requirement does not apply to applicants whose mother tongue is English or who have a university entrance qualification or a university degree from an English-speaking country.
