Additional information:
At the beginning of your studies, no knowledge of German is required. However, students who participate in an international Master have to acquire a basic knowledge of the German language. They are obligated to attend the German courses at the University of Kaiserslautern and pass the A1-level exam at TU Kaiserslautern within the first year of their studies. International master students, who prove their knowledge in the German language with an A2- Goethe-Certificate from abroad, not older than one year, can be exempted from passing the A1-level exam at TU Kaiserslautern.

  1. Curriculum vitae.
  2. Certified copy of your bachelor/master's degree and transcript.
  3. Certified translation (German or English) of your bachelor/master's certificate and transcript.
  4. Short description of the subjects covered during your previous studies.
  5. Motivation letter.
  6. Two recommendation letters from faculty staff or industry managers.
  7. Proof of your English proficiency (see language requirements).
  8. Proof of your German proficiency, if existing.
  9. GRE (strongly recommended).
  10. APS (for applicants of the People’s Republic of China, Mongolia & Vietnam).
