Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Applicants can be admitted if they meet one of the following requirements in accordance:
- an above-average degree in the bachelor's degree in energy and environmental management from the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, including a semester abroad, or
- an above-average degree in a seven-semester comparable European bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, including a semester abroad, or
- a well above average completion of a six-semester comparable European bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and an additional semester abroad with 30 ECTS credit points or a proven comparable achievement, or
- a far above-average completion of a seven-semester European bachelor's degree in engineering, including a semester abroad and proof of the successful completion of the economic bridging courses for the degree, or
- a far above-average completion of a six-semester European bachelor's degree in engineering and an additional semester abroad with 30 ECTS credit points or a comparable performance and proof of successful completion of the economic bridging courses for the degree program, or
- a far above-average degree in business engineering in a developing or emerging country for at least four years of a bachelor's degree and a subsequent relevant professional experience of at least two years, or
- a well above average degree in engineering for at least four years in a developing or emerging country and a subsequent relevant professional experience of at least two years and proof of successful completion of the economic bridging courses for the course.
Bridge courses to be completed for graduates with pure engineering degrees comprise three modules:
- Business Administration (4 SWS / 5 ECTS) (written exam).
- Business Economics (4 SWS / 5 ECTS) (written exam), and
- Foundations of Energy Economics and Energy Management (4 SWS / 5 ECTS) (written exam).
- An above-average bachelor's degree in energy and environmental management from the Flensburg University of Applied Sciences, including a semester abroad, or
- An above-average degree from a seven-semester comparable European bachelor's degree in industrial engineering including a semester abroad, or
- A well above-average degree from a six-semester comparable European bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and an additional semester abroad with 30 ECTS credit points or a proven comparable performance, or
- A well above-average degree from a seven-semester European bachelor's degree in engineering, including a semester abroad and proof of successful completion of the economic bridging courses for the degree, or
- A well above-average degree from a six-semester European bachelor's degree in engineering and an additional semester abroad with 30 ECTS credit points or a proven comparable performance and proof of successful completion of the economic bridging courses for the degree, or
- A far above-average degree of at least a four-year bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering in a developing or emerging country and at least two years of subsequent relevant professional practice, or
- A well above-average degree from a bachelor's degree in engineering in a developing or emerging country, followed by at least two years of relevant work experience and proof of successful completion of the economic bridging courses for the degree.
An "above-average" degree within the meaning of these examination regulations is a degree in the top 50% of the respective graduation year of the issuing university. A "far above-average" degree within the meaning of these examination regulations is a degree in the top 25% of the respective graduation year of the issuing university.

Application Documents
If the B.A. has already been completed completely and successfully at the time of application and the final documents have already been handed over:
- Application form of the online procedure.
- Supplement to the application form.
- University entrance qualification, e.g. high school diploma (simple copy).
- University degree certificate (officially certified copy).
- Transcript of records/Service Point Overview/Note Account (simple copy).
- Proof of sufficient German language skills (applicants without a German university entrance qualification or a degree in a German-language degree program, see language requirements).
- Proof of sufficient English language skills (see language requirements).
- Proof of the completed semester abroad.
- Letter of motivation.
- Current study or Exma certificate of the last German university attended (external applicants only).
- Optional: addressed and sufficiently stamped return envelope (DIN A 4 or DIN A 5, not cardboard-backed) for the return of the application documents in case of non-consideration.
If the BA has not yet been completed at the time of application or the final documents have not yet been handed over:
- Application form of the online procedure.
- Supplement to the application form.
- University entrance qualification, e.g. high school diploma (simple copy).
- Daily printout of the sheet account or the Transcript of records, as a single copy [the transcript must show the current average note. If this is missing, the current grade must be proven by a letter from the Examination Office (original or officially certified)]. If no grade is provided, the grade point average is set at 4.0.
- Proof of sufficient German language skills (applicants without a German university entrance qualification or a degree in a German-speaking program of study, see language requirements).
- Proof of sufficient English language skills (see language requirements).
- Proof of the completed semester abroad.
- Proof that the BA thesis has been registered, if it is not already recorded in the transcript as a passed exam.
- Current study or Exma certificate of the last German university attended (external applicants only).
- Letter of motivation.
- Optional: addressed and stamped return envelope (DIN A4 or DIN A 5, not cardboard-backed) for returning the application documents in case they are not considered for the selection procedure.
