Flexibility to choose your study modules
Students have the freedom to choose their study modules and organize their study structure as they see fit. They can choose from a variety of courses offered by the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, Faculty of Informatics, Faculty of Management and Engineering, Bavarian Virtual University (Virtuelle Hochschule Bayern), and/or the University’s language center.
Take part in laboratory courses
Gaining practical experience through laboratory courses is just as important as learning theory during lectures. Therefore, regular participation in laboratory courses is mandatory during this master’s program.
Master’s Project and Master’s Thesis
The Master’s Project is a Team Project completed in groups of two to six that serves as practice and preparation for the Master’s Thesis. Master’s Theses are conducted in cooperation with partners in industry. Students get the help of the career center to apply for open positions at companies.

The application requirements for the study program in “Engineering Sciences (Electrical Engineering and Information Technology)” are:
Previous bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Information Technology
- Mechatronics

- Plastics Engineering or
- Related fields
Min ECTS points required:
- 180*
*If applicants submit proof of a qualification required for admission that is worth less than 210 ECTS credit points but at least 180 ECTS credit points or equivalent, they must acquire the missing credit points from relevant undergraduate courses at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences before completing their studies.
The overall average grade of the bachelor’s degree must be 2.5 or better according to the German grading system.
Language Requirements
The following certificates are recognised as proof of your language proficience.
Specification: With Grade C (at least 160 points) or higher

Application Documents
Students must complete the online registration and upload all the necessary supporting documents.
Please do not send any documents by post; documents submitted by post cannot be considered.
The overall examination grade should be clearly displayed.
If the original diploma is in a language other than English or German, a German or English translation issued by an officially appointed translator must be submitted.
As proof of the ECTS points earned in the first degree program.
The submission is not required if the ECTS point total is shown on the certificate or if the applicant won a first degree at Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences. If necessary, a German or English translation issued by an officially appointed translator should be submitted.
Proof of grading system of first degree with indication of maximum and minimum passing grades (if different from German grading system).
