Qualification Requirements


Previous Degree

University degree. Please be advised that the university preferably admits lawyers with a first law degree comparable to the German first legal state examination pursuant to the German Law on the Judiciary ("Deutsches Richtergesetz"). However, they do not exclude graduates from other fields of study from the admission process. In these cases, applications attesting familiarity and experience with disciplines related to the foci of the program such as telecommunication and energy law are prioritized.

Minimum standard period of study: 4 years.
Required ECTS credits: 240.

Work Experience

Postgraduate work experience of no less than one year. All kinds of professional experience are accepted, internships included, as long as these job activities were performed after the completion of the first university degree. Work experiences in the subject areas of the program are given priority in the admission procedure.

GPA Comment

No minimum grade is required for admission.

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven by six years of English lessons in school (in secondary level 1 and secondary level 2 if the language level is not indicated on the certificate. Applicants may be exempted from this requirement if their prior university education was conducted entirely in English. Proof thereof must be presented with the application. No knowledge of the German language is required for admission.
