The amounts of these fees depend on the Universities of the Consortium and therefore on the mobility path that each self-funded student will follow. Approximative fees for the 2020-2021 year: at Marseille, the registration fees is 92 € (CVEC) + 243 € (registration)/academic year, and there are no tuition fees. At Karlsruhe, the registration fees is 153.69 €/semester, and all non-EU students have to pay a tuition fee of 1,500 € per semester; a tuition fee-waiver is awarded to students coming to KIT under cooperation programs with partner universities (Erasmus Mundus, ERASMUS+, double-degree students, EUCOR, direct exchange partnerships, state programs for students exchange) unless the student is studying in master’s degree for a second time. At Barcelona, the registration + tuition fees is 1,383 €/semester (30ECTS) for program country students, and 2,075€/semester for partner country students. At Tampere, the registration fees is 100 €/academic year, and all the EuroPhotonics students are awarded a tuition fee-waiver scholarship at Tampere University; the same decision applies to all (program and partner country) students as long as they are selected as EuroPhotonics students. At Vilnius (to be confirmed), there are no registration fees, and the tuition fees are 2,250€/semester for both program country students and for partner countrу studеnts.

Photo.
Officially certified copies and translations of your diplomas in English (first university degree and others - do not send secondary school diploma). Selected students will be asked to bring the original diplomas at arrival. In case your current degree is not yet achieved, mention the expected graduation date.
Certified English translation of transcripts (marks/results obtained until now at the bachelor's degree, and master's if available).
Clear copy of passport or ID.
For partner country students only: a letter signed by you mentioning that you are not resident nor have carried out studies or training work for more than a total of 12 months over the last 5 years in any program country. The 5-year residence period for this 12-months rule is calculated backward as from the submission deadline of applying for the EMJMD student scholarship. If you cannot provide this document, you will be considered as a program country candidate.
Letter of motivation.
Recommendation letters of reference: must come directly from your referees. Therefore:
You must provide in the application form the email address of the persons who have to write the recommendation letter.
The referees will receive a personal email with instructions to upload their recommendation letter.
The referees can either upload the recommendation letter themselves.
When done, you will see in the application software that we have received the recommendation letter, but you will not be able to see the document itself.
The letters upload by yourselves or sent by you to [email protected] will be considered as "Other references" documents. If those are the only ones present in your application, they will not be sufficient to validate your application.
