Course Description

Do you wish to study different aspects of forest ecosystems? Do you wish to develop your professional career in the fields of environmental protection and conservation? In the M.Sc. in Forest and Ecosystem Science, students are to specialize in one of three interesting study majors: “Ecosystem Analysis and Modelling”, “Ecosystem Sciences”, or “Tropical and International Forestry”. During this program, you will be able to perform cutting-edge research and be part of this top-ranked university.


Qualification Requirements

Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree in forestry or related subject.

Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
Required ECTS credits: 180.

You should have at least 150 ECTS at the time of application.

Verification required of academic performance in Forestry or Environmental Sciences, Resource or Ecosystem Management, Life Sciences and Applied Computer Science in the scope of at least 60 ECΤS.

Additional information:
English language proficiency can also be proven by NULTE-Certificate with a min. of Niveau B2, Cambridge English Scale with a min. of 160 points, or by the successful completion of an English-language course of study lasting at least three years is also accepted as proof of sufficient knowledge of the English language.

  6. statement of whether the applicant has so far successfully, unsuccessfully, or not yet completed a master's program of closely related subjects.

    1. Proof of scholarships or academic prizes.
    2. Proof of a study-related stay abroad.
    3. Proof of Internship, related to your studies, min. 8 weeks, outside the university.
    4. Proof of professional training, related to your studies.
