- Students will be charged fees according to the regulations of the two universities. For year one the students will be charged term fees by the Leipzig University that amount currently to 255,50 € per term (510 € per year). For year two students will be charged 26,952 £ which is approx. 31,424 € (UK students: 17,088 £, approx 19,923 €) by the LSE. Additionally students might need to cover for costs related to their participation in events organized by the universities.

Additional information:
Applicants who have studied for more than one year at or received a degree from a university at which English was the language of instruction are not requested to take one of the previously mentioned proficiency tests. An official certificate from the applicant’s university is required to confirm that English was the language of instruction. Native English speakers must provide proof of knowledge of a language other than English at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Application Documents
- A curriculum vitae in English (1-3 pages). You may consider using the Europass CV as a template.
- Motivation letter in English. This letter should explain why you are interested in this particular master’s program (1–2 pages).
- Proof of nationality (e.g. copy of passport).
- High school diploma (secondary school leaving certificate, e.g. Baccalaureate, A Levels) or equivalent (and certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German).
- Official high school transcripts (and certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German).
- University diplomas ( evidence of all completed degrees (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diplom) (and certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German). If you graduate after the application deadline, admission will be considered based on your university transcripts. Please note that if you are admitted, the copy of your certified all your university diplomas will be needed by the end of August in order to be able to enroll you.
- Complete official transcripts of records from your university (and certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German).
- English test results. Applicants whose native language is not English must provide test scores (see language requiremenst).
- Proof of knowledge of another foreign language. Different from your native language and English at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (to be proven by a high school or university certificate/transcript and/or internationally recognized test score certificates or equivalent proof of participation in language courses). English native speakers need to provide proof of knowledge of a first and a second language other than their mother tongue at the A2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- One recommendation letter by an academic teacher. The recommendation letter must be signed by the person recommending the candidate and include the reference’s name and e-mail address. It should be typed on official letterhead or feature the referees institutional stamp.
- If applicable, proof of extracurricular activities and work experience (e.g. copies of employment certificates). Please note that not submitting all requested documents by the application deadline might result in a lower score during the selection procedure and thus lead to a reduced chance to receive admission for the program.
Applicants who earned their university degree in China, Mongolia, Vietnam, or India, will be requested to provide an APS.
