Previous Degree
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in one of the sub-disciplines of English, Hispanic, sociology, political science or history, or a regional science degree with a corresponding focus.
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.

Additional information:
Access also requires that the applicant has knowledge of English and Spanish. The evidence is usually given before the start of the course, for Spanish by proof of language skills at least at level B2 (Common European Framework of Reference) the comparability of certificates or study and examination performances from other universities is determined by the selection committee. Proof of language proficiency is also deemed to have been provided if the applicant has acquired his or her academic qualification at a university in an Anglophone or Hispanic country. German language skills are beneficial for the course; however, proof of this is waived for enrollment.

The application documents must contain:
- Diploma of the first university degree.
- Transcript of records (if issued for the diploma).}
- Proof of the fulfillment of the language requirements.
- Tabular presentation of the previous training course and the practical activities.
- A three-page synopsis that provides information on motivation and suitability for there is this interdisciplinary regional science course. It should contain statements about the study interests and the desired focus areas as well as serve to present and prove previous knowledge in the disciplines involved.
