Qualification Requirements


Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in horticulture, biology, biotechnology, agriculture, economics or related fields.

Provisional acceptance may be granted to applicants who have not yet completed their bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification at the time of application, if at least 150 credit points have been attained and it is expected that the bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification will be completed by the end of the first semester of the master's degree at the latest.

Also, the following knowledge is required for each major chosen:

  • Plant production and propagation:
    • 30 ECTS in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics.
    • 30 ECTS in plant production (crop production, plant nutrition, plant pathology, and agricultural engineering).
  • Plant biotechnology, physiology, and genetics:
    • 30 ECTS in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics.
    • 30 ECTS in genetics, physiology, biotechnology, plant breeding.
  • Economics:
    • 30 ECTS in agricultural economics, marketing, business administration.
    • 30 ECTS in plant production (crop production, plant nutrition, plant pathology, and agricultural engineering).
