Regarding German language requirements, the assessment test certificate [Zeugnis der Feststellungsprüfung] (to be taken at the state-run preparatory colleges) in subject German, a verification of German language proficiency that has been recognized under bilateral agreements as sufficient proof of language proficiency by the KMK/HRK [Conference of education ministers / German Rector’s Conference], the Grosses and Kleines Sprachdiplom from the Goethe Institute as well as the Certificate of the Zentrale Oberstufenprüfung (ZOP) from the Goethe Institute, or verification of German Studies courses can also be provided as proof of German language proficiency.
