Course Description
The Master in International Tourism Management (MITM) program is currently under redevelopment and will not take place in the Winter Semester 2023/2024. The program is expected to begin again in Winter Semester 2024/2025.
The M.A. in International Tourism Management offers the possibility for business students to deepen their knowledge in the area of tourism. Professors and lecturers with first-hand industry experience lead classes in an international and personal atmosphere. As part of the program, students have the opportunity to complete an internship or spend a semester abroad in one of Heilbronn’s partner universities and to practice managing international tourism organizations, applying concepts such as destination marketing, E-Tourism, and sustainable tourism, among others.

Bachelor/Bakkalaureus (and other qualifications, provided that they are recognised as being equivalent) Minimum requirements for first university degree: Minimum grade: 2.50 Required ECTS credits: 210 For this degree programme, you should have gained your first university qualification in one of the following subjects groups or areas of study: Subject group: Economic Sciences, Law Area of study: Economic Sciences An excellent or good first degree (from a European institution) in business studies or in a business-related discipline (210 ECTS* credits and a German average grade of 2.5 or better) or an equivalent international qualification *Applicants holding a degree with only 180 ECTS have the opportunity to obtain the missing 30 ECTS within the Master's programme by attending additional courses in the Bachelor's programme International Business - Intercultural Studies offered by Heilbronn University. Applicants with a first degree in business studies or a business-related field who have been trained in course-related jobs or have successfully studied abroad may receive bonus points that will facilitate their admission to the Master's programme. Applicants with a first degree awarded by a non-German institution must prove that their Bachelor's degree is equivalent to a German first degree before applying to Heilbronn University. In order to have their qualifications validated, applicants have to contact the Studienkolleg Konstanz. The Studienkolleg Konstanz will assess the foreign Bachelor's degree and decide if it meets the requirements for entering a Master's degree programme in Germany. Applicants should contact the Studienkolleg Konstanz directly to learn about the documents that need to be handed in for the validatiοn.
