Course Description


It is possible to obtain a master's in Mathematics entirely in English if you choose Applied Mathematics as your concentration area. As minors (application areas) taught in English, you may currently choose from physics, applied geophysics, and computer science.

Qualification Requirements


Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).

Applicants should be able to submit proof of knowledge in the following areas:

  1. Analysis with at least 24 ECTS.
  2. Linear algebra with at least 18 ECTS.
  3. Numerical analysis with at least 9 ECTS.
  4. Stochastics with at least 9 ECTS.
  5. Additional courses with at least 27 ECTS from the areas of algebra/computer algebra, complex analysis, ordinary differential equations, functional analysis, number theory, mathematical logic, graph theory, topology.
