Qualification Requirements


Previous Degree

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or in a related field from a recognized university. Applicants must demonstrate a solid basis in mathematics and physics.

Minimum standard period of study: 3 years.
Required ECTS credits: 180.

Applicants for the 3-semester degree program must have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechatronics Engineering, with a minimum of at least 210 ECTS credits.

You can apply with provisional papers if you have not yet completed your Bachelor's degree. All academic transcripts showing all years of university study must be uploaded to the online application portal. However, be aware that you must have completed the Bachelor's degree at the time of enrollment.

Results of the GRE (Graduate Record Examination GENERAL TEST) need to be uploaded to the online application portal if you received your Bachelor's degree from a University outside of the European Union.

Additional information:
Native speakers from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, and the USA are exempted from proving their knowledge of English. Applicants from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Pakistan must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores, even if your complete education was in English. In exceptional cases, the B1 certificate can be submitted later, provided that the applicant can demonstrate at least A2 language proficiency when enrolling. In this case, the submission of proof of German language proficiency at the B1 level is a prerequisite for participation in the exams of the third semester.
