Qualification Requirements
The application requirements for the study program in “MediaArchitecture” are:
A Bachelor's degree in:
- Architecture or media studies,
- Related disciplines with academical and/ or artistic-design emphasises (Bachelors, Masters or “Diplom”).
Language Requirements
The following certificates are recognised as proof of your language proficience.
Specification: Not older than 2 years, minimum score 6,0, each part minimum 5,5.

Application Documents
The aptitude test proceeds as follows:
- Aptitude assessment based on the documentation of previous work
- Interview (after assessment by the commission; not obligatory)
- Decision and announcement of the results.
If the admissions board would like to speak with you personally, you will receive an invitation by e-mail to an interview in advance.
Notarised copy of the school graduate certificate (university acceptance) or a certificate from the appropriate authorities as an accepted equivalent.
University degree (Bachelors, “Diplom” or Masters) or an accepted equivalent, such as “Diploma supplement” and a Transcript of Records. Original documents in German or in English or as certified translation.
Thoroughly explaining the reasons behind the study and career plans, approximately one page long (A4 or 8 1/2 x 11).
Documentation of previous work, including final thesis, which demonstrates the ability for interdisciplinary work and special skills in theory and/ or practice, maximum 25 sheets A3 (or videos, CDs etc.).
Written declaration concerning the authorship of the submitted work.
For the bilingual course of MediaArchitecture study: good (B1-GER) or very good (B2-GER) English skills must be proven—original document in German or in English or as certified translation.
For the double degree program IMAMS: proof of proficiency in English is compulsory - original document in English or as certified translation.
For the bilingual course of MediaArchitecture Study: very good German language skills are required—original document in German or English or certified translation.
