Summer semester: Deadline for applying at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL) is January 31st. Application for the master program at FAU is possible until January 15th.

Interested students need to submit two applications, one for the master program at FAU and one for the acceptance into the IMPRS-PL.

The admittance to FAU is one of the preconditions to the final acceptance into the IMPRS program. But the admission to FAU does not automatically entail the acceptance into the IMPRS.

  4. Bachelor certificate (and transcripts).
  5. A short abstract of the bachelor thesis.
  6. 2 letters of recommendation.
