Course description
The Master of Arts in Public Economics, Law and Politics (PELP) program at Leuphana University Lüneburg equips students with the interdisciplinary training and research skills needed to analyze the background and effects of government actions from different perspectives. The master’s degree is part of Leuphana’s Graduate School. Therefore, students can profit from studying and working within a close-knit scientific community that brings master’s- and doctoral-level students together with more established professionals.
Target Groups
The MA in Public Economics, Law and Politics (PELP) is intended for holders of a first academic degree in:
- Political Science
- Law
- Business and Economics
- Constitutional and Administrative Science
wishing to further their knowledge through interdisciplinary and problem-oriented academic training in the field of political science.
Requirements
Qualification Requirements
The application requirements for the Study program in “Public Economics, Law and Politics” are:

Bachelor (undergraduate) degree
'Previous degree* in:
- Political Science,
- Economics,
- Law,
- Or an interdisciplinary degree that consisted of all three subjects.
Minimum ECTS required:
- 180 ECTS*.
Applicants need the equivalent to at least 60 ECTS in one of the disciplines mentioned above.
*If you did not finish your first degree studies yet, you may still apply if you can prove that you have finished 81% of the degree. For a program consisting of 180 Credit Points, that is 145 Credit Points. For a 210 CP program, applicants need to demonstrate 170 CP.
