Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any of the following fields: civil engineering, transport engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, communications engineering, mathematics, physical science, architecture, and environmental engineering (the list is not exhaustive).
Minimum standard period of study: 3 yеars.

Application Procedure & Selection

Application Documents
- Submit one copy of the official or provisional bachelor's degree certificate (for originals, the document must bear an original round seal; and for non-originals, the document must be in a notarised copy format)*.
- Submit of copy of the official or provisional academic transcript (for originals, the document must bear an original round seal; and for non-originals, the document must be in a notarised copy format.)*. Your submitted transcript must include the credits/grading system of your university:
- min. passing score (e.g. 50 out of 100);
- max. possible score (e.g. 100 out of 100); and
- the equivalent score/range of scores for each grade (e.g. ‘A’ grade is equivalent to a score of 90 to 100).
- Submit one statement of purpose that indicates the reason(s) you are interested in the program you applied for.
- Submit one curriculum vitae/resume.
- Submit one passport-sized photograph.
- Submit one passport biodata page photocopy (the passport page that contains your particulars).
- Akademische Prufstelle (APS) Certificate (required for all applicants who hold a degree from China, India, or Vietnam).
- Proof of English proficiency (see language requirements).
*Please do not mail any documents to us if we do not tell you to. We do not return any hardcopy documents that are submitted to us.
Other important information:
- Documents that are not in English must be translated by a sworn translator before submission.
- Applicants for the master programs need not submit GRE or GATE results. If the medium of instruction for your bachelor's degree is in English, you do not need to submit your TOEFL or IELTS result as well.
- Iranian degrees and transcripts must be legalized by the German Embassy in Tehran.
All applicants are required to submit an additional 2 certified-true copies of their official or provisional bachelor's degree certificate and official or provisional academic transcript and an additional two passport-sized photographs when they have accepted the offer of admission and are being matriculated into our program.

You do not have to submit any hardcopies until your application has been reviewed and you have received an offer of admission from the university.
If you have received an offer of admission, you are required to submit to TUM Asia the following:
- A signed printout of the Offer of Admission (Official and Student copy) and Student Agreement Form.
- All mandatory hardcopy documents and notarised academic documents.
- Signed application form.
Please do not mail any documents to the university if they do not tell you to. The university does not return any documents submitted to thеm.
