Course Description
The Scientific Computing master's program is a specialized course designed for gifted students. It covers the creation and mathematical scrutiny of high-performing numerical procedures, encompassing the full solution pathway, from modeling to result visualization. This includes mathematical, numerical, and statistical analyses, optimization, and algorithm implementation on high-speed computers. The simulation problems originate from disciplines like biochemistry, physics, computer science, and engineering. Throughout their coursework, students get the opportunity to contribute to ongoing research projects.
Master's program in Scientific Computing is designed for highly talented students who are working at the intersection of mathematics, computer science, and physics and are interested in advancing their qualifications to face future challenges in the field of numerical simulation.

The application requirements for the study program in “Scientific Cοmрuting” are:
A Bachelor’s Degree* in one of the following areas (or equivalent):
- Mathematics
- Computer science

*The Bachelor's Degree should consist of 180 ECΤS.
GPA of 1.9 or better according to the German systеm.
Knowledge of Numerical Mathematics (proved with at least 16 ECTS in the transcripts).

Application Documents
The application process is done via the website CAMPUSonline.
As support, the university has developed a handbook for the application via CAMPUSonline.
After registration, the required documents can be uploaded to CAMPUSonline via the link Bewerbung / Applicatiοn.
A total of at least 150 ECTS and a minimum grade of 1.9 (German System) are required by the time of application.
Applicants who have not yet completed their first degree at the time of preparing their application will be considered if they submit the corresponding certificate by the end of the second semester.
