Five Reasons to choose this Program

Course Description
Ready to start your Master's in Germany with a real head start? The Study Sprint Renewable Energy Systems at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt is a 15-week preparatory program for international graduates heading into the M.Sc. Renewable Energy Systems. Before your degree even begins, you solidify your engineering foundation, learn German, get to know German culture and student life, and settle into everyday life in Ingolstadt — so you can hit the ground running in October. The Study Sprint is the flagship offering of Project SHIFT, a federally funded initiative supporting international students all the way from study preparation through academic success to entering the German job market.

The program is designed for international graduates in engineering or natural sciences who plan to enroll in the Master's in Renewable Energy Systems at THI. You should hold a Bachelor's degree with 210 ECTS credits (or 180 ECTS plus proof of 30 additional credits) along with English skills at B2 level. A documented energy specialization or practical experience in energy technology strengthens your application.
Special Program Features
Career launchpad into the German job market
Workshops on job applications and interviews, career speed dating with regional companies, and THI's own job fair connect you with employers even before you start your Master's.
Guidance every step of the way
The SHIFT team guides you personally from the Study Sprint through your Master's application and beyond — with counselling and workshops whenever challenges come up along the way.
Ingolstadt — Bavaria at your doorstep
As a mid-sized city, Ingolstadt offers everything you need for everyday life, combined with a vibrant historical and multicultural environment. On regular excursions and guided tours, you can explore breathtaking Bavarian landmarks and metropolises like Munich and Nuremberg.
