Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a subject-related study program.
Minimum standard period of study: 6 semesters.
A course of study with at least 60 credit points in the courses of ethnology, ethnology, and cultural and social anthropology at a German or foreign university is relevant. A subject-related is a study in a neighboring social science or regional science course with a proportion of events in the field of social anthropology/ethnology with a volume of at least 60 credit points.
If an applicant demonstrates less than 60 credit points but more than 15 credit points from the field of social anthropology/ethnology through the courses mentioned above, the admission is subject to the requirement that before the start of the third semester, the Institute for Ethnology offers to take the exam (4 hours). Only after successfully passing the exam is the right to attend courses in the third and fourth semesters.
A grade of at least 2.3.
