Requirements
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, computer engineering, informatics, or another closely related discipline.
You need to have the following scores in your Graduate Record Examination (GRE):
- Quantitative reasoning: at least 75th percentile (25% best).
- Verbal reasoning: at least 15th percentile (85% best).
- Analytical writing: score of at least 3.5.
The candidate should have a substantial background in computer science and mathematics. Typically this would include courses in the following areas: calculus, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, probability theory, numerical computations, computer architecture, fundamentals of computer programming, programming languages, software engineering, data structures and algorithms, analysis of algorithms, automata theory and formal languages, computability and complexity theory, mathematical logic.
In addition, an applicant should have at least two advanced undergraduate courses on specialized topics such as distributed systems, information systems, operating systems, and compilеrs.
Candidates should have performed above average in their undergraduate studies. You'll need to have a minimum GPA of 65% in your first degree for applicatiοn.
