Course Description
Humanity is coming up against ecological and social limits. Problems such as global warming, biodiversity loss, epidemics, and poverty are becoming more and more pressing. To deal with these challenges, leaders with solid economic knowledge, a sound cross-sectional understanding of ecological and social issues, and a strong sense of responsibility, i.e. sustainability experts, are needed. The master's program in Sustainability Economics and Management (SEM) is designed to bring forth these experts. It provides graduates with the professional, analytical, interdisciplinary, and social skills that enable them to work in companies, NGOs, or international organizations. The program further benefits from a high reputation and a long tradition. The contents that are taught in the master's degree are closely linked to the environmental and sustainability-related research of the University of Oldenburg.
