Course Description

The Summer School covers all the fundamentals used in automation and simulation. With your classmates, you complete assignments on simulation in a computer lab. You will also get to solve real-world problems by applying software commonly used in industry and thus acquire a better understanding of methods used in mechanical engineering. Take part in a lab tour on the Aachen campus, where you get to know the institute's research approaches. Regarding automation, you discuss production systems and computer-integrated manufacturing. Thus, you receive an overview of cutting-edge production automation technologies and understand modern automated production systems.

Qualification Requirements

The application requirements for the study program in “Automation and Simulation” are:

Bachelor's (Undergraduate) Degree

You have already completed your:

First or second year of studies, or
A degree related to the program

Basic knowledge in the following areas is desirable: Mathematics, Mechanics, Materials Science, Thermodynamics, Computer Science / Programming Techniques, Machine Drawing / Machine Elements or Modelling.
