Four Reasons to choose this Summer School
Course Description
This Summer School introduces the mathematical and physical basics of building energy performance modeling and simulation and the implementation of models using computer-based numerical methods, computer algebra systems, and object-oriented modeling language Modelica. As a student, you learn about different methods of heat generation of renewable energy sources and dive into the topic of electricity trading in a computer simulation. This approach provides you with a broad insight into building performance simulation, the energy supply of buildings and districts, and also high-temperature solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs).
Special Program Features
Be part of a hands-on case study
During a practical case study, you will work on a business simulation game on energy trading and power plant management.

Testimonials
My two weeks in Aachen passed by so quickly, however, I gained a deeper understanding and knowledge about structural engineering as well as many great friends from all over the world. The courses were well-organized and the professors had a really high level. The social activities were fun too, it was a perfect combination of leisure with work. I really want to visit Aachen again in the future.
