Course Description

Students must be at least 18 years of age and should have completed at least one year of higher education (college or university) at the beginning of the FUBiS program.
The course is open to students of any subject. An elementary knowledge of European history is welcome but not necessary.

An important part of the program is the excursions and field trips to monuments, historical sites, or museums which allow students to gain a broader perspective of the topics covered in class.
Study at the Freie Universität Berlin - a “University of Excellence”
At FUBiS (Freie Universität Berlin International Summer and Winter University), students earn credits that can be counted towards their degrees at their home institutions. Moreover, students are part of Freie Universität Berlin, one of Germany’s most renowned universities, having been named a “University of Excellence” and part of a “Cluster of Excellence” (as part of the Berlin University Alliance).

The application requirements for the study program in “History of European Art” are:
