English-taught Special Education - Teaching Degree [Förderschule] Bachelor programs in Germany (2026/2027)

Studying to become a teacher at special schools—also known as special education or teaching for special educational needs—means teaching and supporting children and young people who need extra help. As a special education teacher, you work with students who have impairments in learning, language, emotional and social development, mental development, physical and motor development, hearing, or vision. You see progress that may seem small in other contexts, but represents huge successes for the individual child – a spoken word, a resolved conflict, a school day mastered independently.
