A few German universities offer English-language Master’s programs in Theology and Religion. Available programs either focus more broadly on religious studies, equipping students to understand and compare different religions, or on intercultural theology and eucumenical studies. This diversity in topics teaches students the role of religion and theology in intercultural and interreligious settings with a special focus on Christian religions. Furthermore, there are programs focusing on theology, history and culture of other religions.

Application Requirements
Master degrees in Theology and Religion are targeted at students who hold an academic degree in Religious Studies, Philosophy of Religion, Theology, Sociology of Religion and in some studies related relevant subjects such as Cultural Studies or History. For most programs, entrance tests or interviews are not part of the admission process, students must simply submit required documents. In addition to standard certificates (e.g. first degree certificate, a transcript of records, a language certificate), a CV and a letter of motivation are typically required. Students may have to provide an English language certificate. For some programs, you will have to demonstrate additional language skills, such as in Hebraic, Korean, Sanskrit or other relevant languages.
